A Thankful November

November has been a month full of joyful progress! We have had some breakthrough conversations with students, guided by the HS. Our hearts are full this month.

We spent time with Becky’s students at a class cookout. Chris took the boys on their first camping trip.

We were able to clearly express the meaning of Thanksgiving to our friends and students in our home. Turkey is not available in our town so we ate roasted duck! They taste pretty similar.

We are looking forward to the upcoming Christmas holiday. This time of year allows us to openly share the meaning of Christmas as a part of a cross-cultural exchange. Our hearts feel that it is a privilege to be where we are during the holiday season. As tough as it is to be away from home for the first time, we know that we are right where we are called to be.

Becky met with the manager at the orphanage and gathered a list of important needs they have. The manager was very receptive to the idea of us coming again. We will be taking items to donate around Christmas time. We will also share a meal with the family in the Yi village. Please pr for open hearts and open doors so that the message of Christmas will be presented.
