We have successfully completed the first 10 lessons of our language class. We are now going back through each lesson to specifically learn how to write and recognize each character. As frustrating as this can be, we know that it is equally important to be able to read as much as it is to be able to speak. We are making progress! It has been awesome to speak a few phrases and write some characters for students. They are touched that a foreigner is learning their language! We have a long way to go, but we are pressing forward with His guidance!

Becky showed the J film to 210 of her students last week as a part of how religion influences culture. A great segue into revealing truth. It was incredible to see their reactions while watching something for the first time. They were amazed at the part where J feeds 5,000 people. They were also incredibly concerned when J was beaten. It was good for us to see the film again. It is always a deep reminder of the origin of our salvation and how significant of a price He paid for our lives. We encourage you to watch the film at a time other than Easter. Take a moment and watch it with your families. Be reminded of how powerful His grace will always be.
