Over the past year, we have developed a special relationship with the family that owns the local smoothie shop. Becky visits this shop everyday at lunch for her iced green tea and has grown close with the shopkeeper and her daughter & son. The shopkeeper’s daughter received her first baby shower at Christmas time with some gifts from the FIT class. She was so touched to receive such beautiful gifts; tears began to stream from her grateful face.
She moved home in January to prepare for the birth of her baby and we have been keeping up via QQ, an online chatting service. Her baby boy was born last week! She sent us this beautiful picture of him wrapped in the blanket that was a gift from the FIT class. They haven’t decided on a name just yet and mama is very tired from sleepless nights. We told her we were prying for her and for the baby to be healthy. She was thankful to hear that and asked us to pry that he continues to grow. We rejoice that she accepts our pryers and has reached out specifically to pry for the baby.
She will stay in her hometown with her husband as they raise this precious boy. The shopkeeper and her son will be in our town running the smoothie shop. Please join us in pryer as we continue to deepen our relationships with this family.
