The Simple Life - Week 7

Our Great Master's Plan

There are days, even weeks, when we see our Master at work and last week there was no short of it. A great friend of ours once gave us some wise words, "Man's unwillingness isn't a deterrent to our Great Master's plan." Last week was full of student-led activities, a last minute lunch with an out of town friend, and one unimaginable weekend in our capital city. To shorten the post we ended up placing this weekend's activities on our blog.

To start off the week, the entire campus celebrated Water Festival. Imagine thousands of students standing in fountain pools of water splashing everyone with buckets of water. It was chaotic but fun! A couple of days later, we awoke to a message from our friend from a few hours away asking if we had lunch plans. Of course, we cleared our schedule and spent two hours with our friend and his threes boys. The impact they made while walking around our campus is still being talked about. He has a plan.

The week went on with activities that our students had planned out. Thursday capped off the activities with an English corner that included 60 students playing "Gorilla Beats the Man - Man Beats the Gun - Gun Beats the Gorilla". Overall, the 90 minutes turned from a planned itinerary to conversations that really opened up the students minds to some interesting topics ;). He has a plan.

To finish off the week, we headed up to our capital city on Friday so Becky could run in the spring 5K, and so we could get some R&R...Beef ;). What happened from the beginning hours of our trip down to the last few minutes before our return home was something we could have never imagined.
